: me
Hi, I’m Rhys Evans and I’m a creative sort with a love for photography, editorial design and typography, who’s known to dabble in branding, cinematography, video editing and anything that’ll get my brain thinking and hands creating. I was born in Bristol in the UK, where my love for creative pursuits began. I first started photography when I was 14, borrowing my Dad's camera to shoot the streets of the city I grew up in. After leaving school I went on to study the subject at college and actually learn how to take those photos well. When it came to university I wanted to expand on my knowledge and skill base within the creative world, which led me to studying a Foundation Degree in Graphic Design & Interactive Multimedia at City of Bristol College. There I learnt how to apply my photography skills to the worlds of editorial, publishing, branding and advertising, whilst also learning how to design and solve problems creatively. Taking an elective module in Video and Audio Post Production, I was also able to expand my knowledge into the worlds of video editing and cinematography. After finishing my foundation degree I decided I still had more to learn, and so topped up my qualification at the University of Plymouth where I graduated in 2019 with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Communication with Typography. And that leads up to now, where I patiently await the next opportunity to learn something new and create something cool. In my work I follow a strong belief that creative thinking and story telling can improve people’s lives and ultimately make the world a better place, and I’m passionate about doing what I can to help this idea. I'd love to hear about any creative work you need or any projects you've got in the works that you might need a hand bringing to life.
